This Vivobook with an SSD is LIGHTNING fast ! don’t listen to the people who doesn’t know about computers and trust me. This is the best laptop I have ever had. The screen quality is impressive. The sdd is fast. It takes 5 sec to boot. Update your laptop. I took almost 3 hours of updates trought windows update, but once you have finish updated you have a perfectly, fast lightning laptop for tasks. This is not a gaming laptop, this laptop is great for work, school, Netflix, Light gaming. Thanks to the vega 8 you will be able to play every game if you set the resolution at 720p and low graphics, you will get around 30-35 fps, better than nothing. For the price, this laptop has probably the best quality picture screen. You can ADD any 2.5 inches HDD or SSD into this little beast! U can also replace de 4 gig dedicated ram to a 8 gig ram if you want to ! The ssd is a Kingston and Ram is Samsung. Great great great product. Asus really pushed quality on this one.

Was purchase as a student laptop. Global performance is impressive, good enough to play some demanding games (not full-res of course). SSD drive boots Windows almost instantly. Great deal !

Has this laptop for around a month, so far so good. It’s been great for everything I need it for, mostly light weight gaming and some programming. Have upgraded it, I now have 12GB Ram and an additional 1TB SSD. Great performance, battery isnt the greatest unless you have your settings for max performance. Was definitely worth purchasing.

This great looking laptop is a value choice while still getting low weight and descent performance (SSD and I3 processor). The back-lit keyboard and nice screen (1920 x 1080) were appreciated touches for the primary user; my son. I like the ASUS brand generally.Read the specs. We had specific priorities and this laptop may be missing some features/specs that someone else might consider important; NO LAN port, not touch screen, only 128 GB hard driveBy today’s standards this is the best laptop we could find for $500. Of course, six to twelve months from now you will likely be able to get more for the same price. However, by today’s standards we are very happy with the purchase!

I was looking around for a laptop, including many more expensive options, before I settled with this one.The laptop is very fast with the NVMe M.2 SSD, with a disk benchmark, I was able to reach 1.6 GB (that is gigabytes, not gigabits) read speeds per second, and 900 MB/s write speeds per second.I got this on sale, and for under $600, a Ryzen 5 quad core, 8GB DDR4 ram and 256GB SSD, it is excellent value. Not to mention the great feel of the chiclet backlit keyboard. The performance of the Vega 8 integrated graphics, is better performance than any Intel integrated graphics would be. The fans is a little audible when running HD video or more intensive tasks, although still very quiet. The battery life is average, although it can be a little bit above average if you set your settings to battery saver. Still, it should last a few hours at the least. Just a quick note, there is 6GB usable RAM rather than 8GB, as 2GB is permanently allocated to the AMD Ryzen Vega 8 GPU. Also, when first turning on the computer, there is noticable backlight bleed on the bottom two corners of the screen, while the screen is on though, the screen has good picture. The pictures for this laptop does not do it justice, I was pleasantly surprised when I received the laptop – the laptop looks better in person than it is advertised! All in all, this is the best laptop one can get for the price, hands down. Definitely recommend it for anybody who is looking for a laptop that won’t put a dent in their wallet. Good job Asus.
